The International Conference on the Optics of Liquid Crystals was held at the Centre for Scientific Culture “Ettore Majorana” in Erice from September 28th to October 2nd 2009 . OLC2009 continues a successful series of biennial appointments which allow theoretical and experimental scientists active in the field of Optics of Liquid Crystals to meet and discuss their recent work.
